Service for the Central Administration ceases
Cessation of tasks
The government has entered into an agreement to reduce the costs of administration, made visible in Finance Bill 2025, which removes state administration corresponding to approx. 1,000 work years.
As a consequence, the Royal Danish Library's Service for the Central Administration ceases as of 1/1 2025.
What does this mean for the users?
As an employee in the central administration, you can use the library's service until the turn of the year, after which the cessation of the tasks will apply to the entire service. It is possible to continue to use the Royal Danish Library as a private user or as an institution. Read more here.

New user
Until December 2024, as an employee of the central administration, you can be set up as a user of Royal Danish Library service for the central administration.

You can find all numbered commission reports online or order the printed version when you search the library system.
Find digitised legal preliminary works
Get access to unique content within law. Preparations for the Constitution of 1849 and the Administrative Procedure Act of 1916 have been digitised and are available online.
Find governmental publications
We collect governmental digital publications from the websites of ministries and agencies. The materials are contained in the library database, but here you can search specifically in the collection.
Digital resources
As an employee in a department or an agency, you have until 1/1 2025 remote access to specially selected digital resources. It just requires you to register as a user

The library is the initiator and leader of a professional network consisting of employees in the central administration with library-like tasks.
