The BibFag network
The library is the initiator and leader of a professional network consisting of employees in the central administration with library-like tasks.
Competence development and knowledge sharing
In the BibFag network, you, as an employee in the central administration, have the opportunity to develop skills and share knowledge about library tasks.
These can be tasks such as
- Maintenance and registration of a physical collection of books or periodicals
- Digitisation tasks
- Legal information search
- Systematic subject search (database search)
- Administration and negotiation of licenses
- Dissemination and teaching tasks
- Reference management
- Research registration
- Interlibrary loan orders
Service for the Central Administration ends
Task failure
The government has entered into an agreement to reduce the costs of administration, made visible in Finance Bill 2025, which removes state administration corresponding to approx. 1,000 man-years.
The Royal As a consequence, the Library's Service for the Central Administration ceases as of 1/1 2025.
What does this mean for users?
As an employee in the central administration, you can use the library's service until the turn of the year, after which the termination of the assignment will apply to the entire service. It is possible to continue to use Det Kgl. Library as a private user or as an institution. Read more here .
The Royal Library
Exclusively for central administration employees
The network was started in 2022 and brings together employees across ministries, sectors and educational backgrounds. The participants come from different parts of the country and number more than 30 people. The common denominator for the participants of the BibFag network is that they are government employees with library tasks.
The purpose of the BibFag network
The purpose of the network is to collaborate and create a forum for knowledge exchange among employees in the central administration with library tasks.
The network's events
Under the auspices of BibFag, both physical and virtual meetings are held with internal and external presenters. The library also publishes a BibFag newsletter, which is available to all interested parties.
